JAAF has produced over 16 educational videos on acupuncture. Our audio tape and CD series includes a series on Infertility & Menopause as well one entitled Women's Hormonal Journey.

Miki Shima founded JAAF, Inc. in 1980, in California, to further foster the teaching and recognition of the traditional Japanese acupuncture techniques within the acupuncturists of America.

Dr. Shima has taught a wide and fascinating array of topics in Traditional Oriental Medicine for the past 35 years.

Governor Edmund G. Brown appointed Dr. Shima to the California State Acupuncture Board in 1981 and established the board examination and school system, which are regarded as the highest standard in the country.

As President of JAAF since 1980, Dr. Shima has overseen and starred in a series of videos designed to develop the sophisticated skills and techniques of acupuncture in a hands-on method of instruction.

Another goal for JAAF is to invite masters of Japanese healing arts to the United States. Over the past 20 years we have invited many Japanese masters of:

  • Ampuku
  • Fukushin
  • I Ching 
  • Moxibustion
  • Shaku Ju treatment
  • Shonishin
